You can choose from more than 120 campgrounds, some of which are KOA campgrounds. New Jersey State Park recreational facilities are plentiful with thousands of acres of beautiful land to see. Most of our camp grounds in New Jersey have craft activities for children, pools, fishing ponds, sporting events and many more amenities in their clubhouse. Most of our NJ campgrounds are clean and safe with modern conveniences like electricity and water. They are all within an easy driving distance of our historic landmarks, museums, amusement parks and cultural and sporting attractions. Atlantic City and its world-famous beach and boardwalk is a great place to visit when you go camping in New Jersey. There's a fabulous casino with really exciting entertainers. We also have some great restaurants here in New Jersey! You can visit the landmark mansion of Richard Somersen or enjoy the scenic waterfront in Somers Point. Trenton is the site of one of George Washington's greatest Revolutionary War victories. You can tour the Old Barracks which were used by soldiers in the French War and Indian War. You can even visit the exact place where Washington crossed the Delaware. We also have grand art galleries in our local museums. Spend a relaxing afternoon admiring the art. New Jersey's Pine Barrens are in the Delaware area. The Pine Barrens consist of a million acres of preserved and protected forests and rivers and streams. It is known as the largest wilderness area east of the Mississippi River in the United States.
